After the sudden passing of the eldest son of a Taiwanese-American family, unspoken trauma drives a rift between Mason, the remaining son, and his mother, Li. When Mason earns the opportunity of a lifetime – to audition at Godfrey Conservatory – he must choose between his dream and his family.

Their conflict embodies a battle between East and West, tradition and modernity, and unstoppable force vs immovable object.
